Sorry that I haven't posted for awhile. Tommorow will be a half day and Monday is President's Day. Enjoy the long weekend. The first week in March will be Illinois state testing and the kis have been beeen working on extended response in writing. It is a real chore!! If your child is complaining about it just keep in mind that I have to prepare them for this portion of the state test. When they take the state test I can't read the reading portion of the test or help them with the writing.

Wee working on decimals in Math. The kids are struggling a bit but we will keep working! I will be contacting parents for Annual Reviews in the next couple of months.

Not much new!! Spelling sentences are 2/8/12. Have a nice weekend.

Sorry I have not blogged lately. I have had meetings upon meetings in the last two weeks. The final list and dictation test for 19 is tomorrow. If your child comes home complaining about the writing they have to do in intervention time they have a right to complain. We are getting ready for the ISAT. I am working on extended response and it is very difficult.

Thefinal tet for spelling is tomorrow. This will also be the first dictation test. Not much else is new and exciting.

I hope everyone enjoyed the day off. Don't forget spelling sentences are due tomorrow. I have a Reading meeting tomorrow so there will be a sub in my room tomorrow.

I sent home the directions for lesson 17 spelling sentences. I also sent home the dictation sentences that I will give as a test. My Reading students took the 5th Mastery test today. I ampleased to report that they all made a 100%.

We are finally finishing up our  New Year's  resolutions essays. Essay writnig is a long and tedious  process for most of my students. We are still practicing sentence dictation. In Math we are working on least common factors and equivalent fractions.

Not much to report on today. My Math students are working on fractions.They need to keep working on memorizung their multiplication facts that will make fractions so much easier. Spelling sentences are due 1/11/12.

Spelling sentences for lesson# 16 are due on Wednesday 1/11/12. We are working on sentence dictation this week. I will start having sentence dictation tests starting next week.

There will be a final lit test today in spelling. I will hand out the words and directions for sentences today for lesson 16. Have a nice weekend.

Tomorrow spelling sentences are due for lesson 15. We will also have the list test. In Language we are working on an essay about New Year's resolutions.
